The Hub is on a mission to give everyone in our city access to a restored life.
What We Believe
At The Hub, we believe in more than just providing help - we believe in building real relationships and walking alongside each person through their unique journey. Every individual matters deeply to us, with their own story, dreams, and worth. Our support is personal, respectful, and tailored to meet real needs. We are inspired by the example of love, humility, and service, and are committed to justice, standing up for freedom and dignity for those facing oppression. We believe in empowering people to own their own path, rebuilding dignity through earning, participation, and learning practical life skills. We know poverty touches every part of life. From hunger to mental health, our approach is holistic and caring for the whole person. Ultimately, our hope is true restoration: helping people reclaim what was lost and pursue who they were created to be.
What is a restored life?
-
Rescue
Removing someone from toxic physical situations is the first step toward true restoration. Harmful environments and unsafe circumstances can trap a person, keeping them in a cycle of pain and helplessness. Escaping danger, abuse, exploitation, and unhealthy surroundings is essential for healing and transformation to take root.
-
Relationship
A relationship with God and access to safe, healthy relationships is the fuel of restoration. Access to vital relationships directly impacts a person’s identity, their self-esteem, their emotional health and their future.
-
Resources
In order for full restoration to happen in a person’s life, their basic needs must be met. A restored life begins with a healthy and safe place to live, access to food and clothing and the ability to pursue an education and become employed.
-
Recovery
Addiction must be dealt with for a person to be truly free. Recovery is not limited to substance abuse. Recovery from mental illness, trauma, exploitation and the side effects of poverty allows a person to be fully restored, knowing who they are and what they are capable of becoming.
