What is the Hub?

The Hub is a non-profit organization in Lafayette, Louisiana that serves two main populations: those in poverty and homelessness through The Lovewell Center and women and children experiencing sexual exploitation and human trafficking through Purchased: Not for Sale.

When can I drop off donations?

You may drop off donations at The Lovewell on Tuesday through Thursday 9:30am - 12pm and Tuesday from 4pm- 7:00pm.

What donated items are not useful for The Hub?

Household furniture & large appliances, baby items & children’s clothing, toys, and medical supplies.

Who can volunteer?

At The Hub, we offer many ways for you to get involved in the lives of the poor and exploited in our city. One great opportunity is volunteering at The Lovewell Center, which welcomes individuals of all ages in a family-friendly environment. Whether you're coming as a single volunteer, a small group, or a large group, we have a place for you to serve.

Please note: Volunteers age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteers for Purchased must be 18 years of age and have completed the mandatory Equip and Purchased Equip training. There are mostly opportunities for women, however, men have specific roles to play and can be a part.

How do I volunteer?

You do not need training to serve at The Lovewell Center. Just sign up on NEON. We would love for you to attend our "Equip Yo Self" training. If you are wanting to serve with The Hub on any level, this training would be VERY USEFUL in understanding the heartbeat of why we do what we do and the strategy of how we do it!

Are the volunteer opportunities at the Hub family-friendly?

All events at The Lovewell Center are considered family-friendly. Purchased volunteers must be at 18 years of age to serve and must complete mandatory training.
